The Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) program helps Albertans with long-term disabilities, chronic illness or terminal illness. The program provides funding for basic medical equipment and supplies so clients can live independently at home and within their communities.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Society of Alberta & Northwest Territories – Equipment Loan Program

The ALS Society is able to respond to the rapidly changing needs of Albertans affected by ALS. Through our provincial Equipment Loan Program, we are able to assist people affected by ALS by lending power mobility devices, assistive communication devices, and other medical equipment. The Equipment Loan Program is free of charge, to ensure support is available when needed.

Cerebral Palsy Alberta (CPAA) – Funding Request Program

The CP Cares Program assists Albertans with disabilities to achieve better quality of life by providing support with different levels of needs: 

The Funding Request Program is open to paid members of CPAA, with a cp diagnosis to receive financial support, as an assistance with offsetting costs of adapted equipment, programs, camps, educational courses, treatments and therapies, medications, and items that would improve their quality of everyday life.

The Tech Fund Program is open to paid members of CPAA, living with various disabilities to receive financial support towards required electronics and adapted electronic devices that support communication and connections with the community.

Muscular Dystrophy Canada – Equipment Program Western Canada

Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s Equipment Program has assisted thousands of Canadians to access the equipment needed to enhance their quality of life. By working with other funders and the government, we share resources to best leverage donor dollars to cover the costs of assistive devices, equipment and accessible technology. At the same time, Muscular Dystrophy Canada works with the neuromuscular community and other like-minded organizations to influence change in public policy so that equipment is funded by government sources.
