Grab bars & floor-to-ceiling poles are two of our most popular bathroom safety items; they're safe, sturdy & can be installed almost anywhere in the bathroom. They provide a secure handhold to assist in getting up & down from the toilet, in & out of the tub & navigating around the bathroom. However, there are situations where a grab bar or floor-to-ceiling pole can't be installed, or just won't work in a particular bathroom setup.
We've been installing quite a few drop-down support rails (sometimes known as Devon rails or folding rails) lately and with good reason. They can be wall-mounted or floor-mounted & will flip up & out of the way when not needed. These are an excellent option when your bathroom configuration will not allow for a grab bar or pole installation.
