Falls are the leading cause of injury admissions to Canada's acute care hospitals, accounting for 68% of all days spent in hospital due to injury and 76% of all in-hospital deaths related to injuries. CAOT (Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists) has an informative article on their website about how occupational therapy can help to decrease the risk of falls and injuries in the home.

EATI Winds Down

Here is a notice from EATI dated December 23:
"Unfortunately, EATI is winding down and is no longer handling any repairs to EATI funded equipment. The Ministry will now be responsible for handling any repairs... The EATI email and phone number will no longer be operational after December 31st."
